Internationally renowned and prize-winning harpsichordist Arthur Haas performs the unique Goldberg Variations – a one-of-a-kind musical composition consisting of an aria and a set of variations. First published in 1741 it is named after Johann Gottlieb Goldberg who was likely the first performer of this work. The Variations display J S Bach’s exceptional knowledge of the many different styles of music of the time and his own exquisite performing techniques. Reception to follow in the courtyard.
